DURHAM, N.C. – Union College opened the Duke University – Asics Invitational Track and Field Meet Friday with six Bulldogs in five different events. The invitational is at Duke's Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C.

Senior Brandon Kibert (Tazewell, Tenn.) needed 15 minutes and 59.21 seconds to complete 5,000 meters.

Brennan O'Quinn (Meadowview, Va.) and Scotty Barnes (Ewing, Va.) both raced in the 400-meter hurdles. O'Quinn was the faster of the two Bulldogs with a 59.97 performance while Barnes finished in 1:03.29.

Marekus Smith (Lithonia, Ga.) posted a time of 22.99 in the 200-meter dash. In the 1,500 meters, Daniel Kual (Stone Mountain, Ga.) completed the event at the 4:15.40 mark. Cody Miller (Middlesboro, Ky.) ran the 400 meters in 54.94 seconds.
