GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - Union College senior Joey Waters will have one more game to play in his collegiate career as he will participate in the Victory Sports Network Senior Classic on April 19 in Platte City, Mo.

Waters (McDonough, Ga.) will dress for the Nationals and were No. 12. He joins 16 other players from the Mid-South Conference.

The Bulldog quarterback had a career year for the Bulldogs as he set single-season records for completions (253), attempts (422), yards (3,216) and touchdowns (27). He had six games, and five in a row, in which he threw for more than 300 yards in a game. Against West Virginia Tech, Waters set the single-season passing yards record with 518 yards in a 50-13 romp. He finished his career at Union as the all-time leading passer with 7,880 yards and 66 career passing touchdowns. Waters owns or shares 11 program records.

He was named the Mid-South Conference East Offensive Player of the Year. In addition, Waters was named the MSC Offensive Player of the Week four times as well as the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week once.

The rosters are a selection of some of the top graduating talent from the NAIA level of college football. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.

Headlining this year's rosters are over twenty players who garnered some type of All-American honors at the NAIA level as well as several NFL and pro hopefuls.

"The talent level of this year's squad is tremendous" said Jason Dannelly of the Victory Sports Network. "There are a few guys in this game that will be on an NFL roster by the end of the month."

Last year's roster had four players signed to NFL contracts, two to the CFL and numerous others to AFL, AF2 and other professional contracts.

Union posted a 4-7 overall record and went 2-3 in the MSC East.
