LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Senior third baseman Matt Brady belted a three-run home run as part of a five-run fifth to propel No. 10 Union College to a 7-3 victory over host NCAA Division III Spalding (Ky.) University Tuesday.

With the win, Union improved to 31-8 overall, while Spalding dropped to 6-18 overall.

Lioney Henriquez (Brooklyn, N.Y.) broke a scoreless tie in the fifth with a two-run homer. Later in the inning, Brady (Louisville, Ky.) hit a three-run jack to give Union a 5-0 cushion.

In the bottom of the fifth, Spalding rallied to cut the margin to 5-3. However, that was as close as Spadling could get as Union posted two more runs in the sixth en route to the 7-3 decision.

Lucas Henson (Corbin, Ky.) picked up the victory, improving his mark to 4-1 on the season.

Union returns to action Saturday when it plays host to UVa-Wise in an Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader. The first game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
