TRYON, N.C. – Despite firing an opening-round 90, Union College's Dudley McKenna is in fourth place after the first day of the NAIA Region XII Women's Golf Tournament at the Tryon Country Club on Monday.

McKenna, a senior and Mt. Sterling, Ky. native, will have two more rounds the next two days to close the gap.

Freshman Tiffany Willis (Berea, Ky.) posted a 98.

The golfers are playing the Tryon Country Club as a par-72 over 5,982 yards located in Tryon, N.C.

Tennessee Wesleyan College leads the team standings and Megan Cox, from Tennessee Wesleyan, owns the individual lead with a 74.

Second-round action tees off Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
