BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College sophomore Sherry DeVault has been tabbed as the NAIA Region XII Pitcher of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.

Union went 5-1 last week with all six game being conference contests, improving its overall record to 19-25 and AAC mark to 10-6.

DeVault (Baltimore, Ohio) went 3-0 last week with a 1.00 earned-run average. She averaged a strikeout per inning as she fanned 21 in 21 innings of work. DeVault's best outing came against Bluefield (Va.) College when she tossed a complete-game, two-hitter and struck out 11 in a 9-0 victory.

On the season, DeVault is 7-11 with a 3.65 ERA and has 79 strikeouts in 128.1 innings of work.

Union's regular-season is now complete and will next play in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament in Bristol, Tenn., on April 30-May 2.
