BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - No. 10 Union College ended the regular season with a 9-0 win at home against Carson-Newman (Tenn.) College, a NCAA Division II member, Friday.

The win ran Union's record to 13-2 while Carson-Newman moved to 7-7.

Gustavo Holz (Vitoria, Brazil) rallied to win the final two sets for the win at No. 1 singles. He teamed with Roscoe Moonieyan (East London, South Africa) for a point in No. 1 doubles' play.

The sweep over Carson-Newman was the 10th time this season Union did not drop a point in a match.

Union will travel to Milligan College, Tenn. to defend the NAIA Region XII Championship. Play gets underway Friday with two semifinal contests with the NAIA Region XII Championship match Saturday. The bracket will be released Monday.
