BARBOURVILLE, Ky.  - No. 14 Union College will open the 2008 Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament as the second seed and face seventh-seeded Bluefield (Va.) College Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

The AAC Tournament is being held at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn., beginning Wednesday with the championship game set for Saturday, May 3. The tournament will use a double-elimination format.

The tournament will kickoff with No. 4 Montreat (N.C.) College (36-16 overall, 11-7 AAC) facing No. 5 UVa-Wise (26-19 overall, 10-8 AAC) at 9 a.m. Wednesday. No. 3 King (Tenn.) College (29-14 overall, 13-5 AAC) will play No. 6 Milligan (Tenn.) College (24-24 overall, 8-10 AAC) at 12 p.m. with Union (37-12 overall, 13-5 AAC) and Bluefield (32-14 overall, 7-11 AAC) follow at 3:30 p.m. The final opening round game will pit No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan College (37-15 overall, 14-4 AAC) and No. 8 Bryan (Tenn.) College (19-27 overall, 6-12 AAC) at 6:30 p.m.

The opening-round winners will square off Thursday at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., while the first-round losers will also play at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Thursday but at King's baseball field in Bristol, Tenn.
