KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Union College fell one spot in the latest 2008 NAIA Baseball Top 25 Coaches' Poll as it dropped to No. 15, the NAIA announced Wednesday.

The Bulldogs (37-12 overall) 218 total votes to slide from No. 14 to No. 15, while Bellevue (Neb.) University moved up from No. 15 to No. 14.

For the fourth straight week, Lubbock Christian (Texas) University is the No. 1 team Top 25 poll. The Chaparrals earned 19 of a possible 20 first-place votes and took home 499 total points. LCU, the No. 1 seed in this week's Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Tournament, had its monster-winning streak stopped at 38 games last Saturday (April 26), just three shy of the NAIA record of 41.

The top five teams hold their positions and put the pressure on Lubbock Christian. There is a 70-point poll difference amongst the top five clubs. No. 2 Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) notched the other first-place nod and has won 15 of its last 16 contests. No. 3 Lee (Tenn.), No. 4 Oklahoma City and No. 5 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) all hold strong to round out the top five spots.

This poll showed no new teams since last week. In addition, no program moved more than two spots in the poll.

The ninth and final regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, May 7.
