MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. – No. 23 Union College punched a ticket to the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Saturday morning with a 5-0 win over Indiana University Southeast in the NAIA Region XII Championship match.

Union's Camila Cunha (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won her No. 1 singles' match to claim the NAIA Region XII Women's Tennis Player of the Year award. Cunha won 6-3 and 6-0 against Julian Becher. She also won the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

Renzo Lopez added the NAIA Region XII Women's Tennis Coach of the Year for the second straight year with the AAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year awarded to him last week.

After the match, Union improved to 14-4 while Indiana Southeast, the Kentucky Intercolleigate Athletic Conference champs went to 11-5.

The championship-clinching point came as Juliana Negosek (Curitiba, Brazil) defeated Britta Oliver 6-3 and 6-2. The Lady Bulldogs once again started with all three points in doubles play.

This year's NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship starts May 12, with the championship on May 16 in Mobile, Ala.

This is the second national championship straight birth for the Lady Bulldogs. Last season, Union reached the Sweet 16.
