KANSAS CITY, Mo. – No. 9 Union College is among the 24-team field for this year's National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Men's Tennis National Championship, scheduled for May 12-16 in Mobile, Ala., the organization announced Monday.
This marks the second straight trip for the Bulldogs. Last year, Union won in the opening round to reach the Sweet 16.
Union feature the Region XII and AAC Player of the Year in Anthony Hill (Guayaquil, Ecuador) and Renzo Lopez, the Region XII and AAC Coach of the Year. The Bulldogs hold a 15-2 record after the Region XII championship.
Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) University, ranked No. 1 all season, looks to defend the 2007 title. Auburn Montgomery and Union are among the 12 region champions and the other 12 teams were selected as at-large representatives.
The championship will be contested at the Mobile Tennis Center. The official tournament bracket will be announced May 7 before 6 p.m.
