
MOBILE, Ala. - No. 9 Union College narrowly missed receiving a first-round bye in the 2008 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament, but instead, Union will take on tournament host University of Mobile (Ala.), the NAIA announced Wednesday.
The tournament is being held at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala., May 12-16 with all matches beginning at 1 p.m. Central.
This will mark the first-ever meeting between Union and Mobile. The match is set for Monday, May 12.
If victorious, Union will face No. 8 seed Concordia (Calif.) University on Tuesday, May 13.
Union owns a 15-2 overall record and is making its second consecutive trip to the national tournament. Union advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in 2007.
Mobile is 9-6 on the season.
