BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College Director of Athletics Darin S. Wilson announced Tuesday that Courtney Clouse has resigned as the institution's cheerleading coach.

"We truly appreciate the years of service Courtney has given us during her time here at Union," Wilson said. "She has given a lot to the cheerleading program, and we wish her the best as she moves on to the next phase of her life."

Clouse took over the program in January of 2005 after having served as a volunteer coach at Barbourville Elementary, Barbourville Junior High, Barbourville High and Lay Elementary.

Union will begin a search for Clouse's successor immediately.
