
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College is the No. 7 seed for the NAIA World Series as it gears up for the South Central Super Regional, slated to begin Wednesday in Lebanon, Tenn.
There are 14 teams remaining with seven super regionals scheduled to take place around the nation this week. The winners will advance to the 52nd annual AVISTA-NAIA World Series. Two at-large bids will be awarded to the highest-seeded remaining teams that do not win their Super Regional. A third at-large will be awarded if host Lewis Clark State wins the West Coast Super Regional.
The AVISTA-NAIA World Series runs May 23rd through May 30th in Lewiston, Idaho. Host team Lewis-Clark State College has won the last two NAIA Baseball National Championships and fifteen overall in the championships history.
Union will play at No. 9 seed Cumberland (Tenn.) University, the NAIA Region XI champions, a best-of-three series beginning Wednesday at 2 p.m.
