MOBILE, Ala. - The 2008 season came to an end for the Union College women's tennis team at the hands of No. 3 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College in a second-round contest at the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship with a 6-0 defeat Tuesday.

Union, ranked 23rd nationally, compiled a 15-5 record this year and reached the round of 16 at the national championship for a second-straight season. Lindsey improved to 16-3 and waits to play California Baptist University on Wednesday. This was the second time Union and Lindsey Wilson met in 2008 and Lindsey Wilson took that meeting 6-2 on April 2.

In doubles' play Ximena Aguilar (Morelia, Mexico) and Katie Sakalauskas (Surrey, Canada) lost 8-4. Camila Cunha (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won a game in her singles' contest.
