BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Molly Fittro will travel east to be a part of the Union College Lady Bulldogs' swim team. The newest Lady Bulldog is a decorated freestyle swimmer from Seaside, Calif.

The Seaside High School graduate was an 11 time all-league swimmer. She also qualified for ten events in the Central California Swimming Championship. Fittro will swim in the sprint events at Union.

"I am really excited about having Molly deciding to attend Union in the fall," Union head coach Rafael Forti commented. "She is an excellent swimmer with a wealth of talent."

The newest Union swimmer was coached by her father, Ken Fittro, at Seaside. He also coached Molly's club team, the Seaside Aquatic Club.

"I see Molly adjusting well to the college level based on her swimming experience and level of competition she has been exposed so far," Forti added. "She has a tremendous work ethic and I am sure we will be seeing many good things from her in the future."

The Lady Bulldogs finished 21st at the NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championship in February.
