BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Jefferson County High School's Andy Wiggins will be a part of the Union College men's soccer team beginning this season.
He played for head coach Shawn Way, a Union alum, while at Jefferson County. Way was a part of the Union program during the early 90's.
Wiggins was a second team all-conference selection as a senior. He scored seven goals and was credited with six assists this past season from his outside midfield position.
"Andy has a nice touch on the ball and good vision," Union head coach Tyler Brock said. "I am excited that Andy is joining the program. He is technically strong and shows a bit of creativity from time to time as well."
Union finished 2007 with a 10-7-1 record, the most wins since 2001. The Bulldogs also picked up an Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinal win last season.
