BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Liam Johnson, from East Yorkshire, England, has signed to play his collegiate soccer with the Bulldogs of Union College.
Johnson, a 6-foot-2 forward, attended the Hornsea School and will be a forward for Union head coach Tyler Brock.
"Liam is a player we have been eagerly looking for here at Union for the past few years," Brock said. "He has been a true goal scorer in every program he has played in."
Brock also looks forward to what Johnson can add to a team that went 10-7-1 last season.
"He is one of those forwards that like to get involved in the build up of play and will look to join in with the midfielders and I think that will make for some very exciting soccer," Brock added.
Union opens the 2008 campaign on Wednesday, August 27, at West Virginia Tech.
