BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College track and field head coach Jamie Jimison bolstered his women's roster with the addition of Martika Wills from Kenwood High School in Clarksville, Tenn.

She used a personal best of 12.51 seconds in the 100-meter dash to qualify for the finals of the TSSAA State Championship in May where she finished eighth. Wills also owns a personal best of 26.25 in the 200. She only ran track as a sophomore and senior.

"Martika is an exciting addition for us," Jimison commented. "She will be a critical factor in the success of our growing women's program.

At Kenwood, she was coached by Ted McCaslin and Erin Walden. Wills also played basketball for the Knights.

"She has a good attitude as well as a great deal of talent and is capable of very big things," Jimison added.

Jimison looks for Wills to make an immediate impact on a team that finished fourth at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship in April.
