BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College women's soccer is projected to finish fifth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, according to the league's coaches' poll.
The Lady Bulldogs posted a 6-13 overall record and went 3-5 in the AAC in 2006. Union received a total of 28 points.
King (Tenn.) College collected three-first place votes and 46 points to land the top spot, while Covenant (Ga.) College garnered two first-place votes and 40 points to end up second. Tennessee Wesleyan College picked up the only other first-place vote and had 35 points to place third. Milligan (Tenn.) College and Union round out the Top Five.
Montreat (N.C.) College, Bryan (Tenn.) College and Bluefield (Va.) College occupy the final three spots in the poll.
Union will open the 2007 campaign on Tuesday when it plays host to Georgetown (Ky.) College at 2 p.m.
