BEREA, Ky. - The Union College men's cross country team posted 21st-place finish at the Southeast Classic in Berea, Ky., Saturday.
There were 25 teams and 217 runners competing in the men's field on the eight-kilometer course.
"It was a solid day for us leading into our conference and regional meet," said Union coach Jamie Jimison.
Junior Brandon Kibert (Tazewell, Tenn.) placed 58th with a time of 27 minutes and 56.60 seconds. Brennan O'Quinn (Meadowview, Va.) was 98th, crossing the line in 29:10.20. Rounding out the Bulldog times were Daniel Kual (Stone Mountain, Ga.) in 151st (30:58.20), Scotty Barnes (Ewing, Va.) in 212th (37:13.30) and Dustin Wattenberger (Harlan, Ky.) in 215th (39:16.60).
On the women's side, freshman Leslie Emmett (Middlesboro, Ky.) posted a time of 25:05.40 to come in 167th. There were 198 runners for the women's five-kilometer race.
Union's next race is set for Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Appalachian Athletic Conference/NAIA Region XII Meet in Louisville, Ky.
