
BURKESVILLE, Ky. - Union College junior Magnus Lundberg fired his second-straight 79 on Tuesday to help lead the Bulldogs to an eighth-place finish at the Lindsey Wilson College / Mid-South Conference Invitational.
Tuesday's 79 was the second straight such round for Lundberg (Stockholm, Sweden). He tied for 28th in the individual standings and also sharing the spot was teammate Sam Lee (Knoxville, Tenn.) Lee posted an 81 for the round.
Adam LaTulippe (Hamilton, Ohio) carded an 82 and Jordan Hogue (Stanford, Ky.) followed with an 84.
Union finished eighth in the team standings with a two-day total of 641, four shots behind Georgetown (Ky.) College. University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) took the team crown with a score of 585, ten shots in front of Indiana Wesleyan University. The medalist was Austin Conroy, from Indiana Wesleyan, with a nine-under-par total of 135. Campbellsville (Ky.) University's Scott Webb also finished under par at 143.
The 36-hole event was played at the Dale Hollow State Park in Burkesville, Ky. The course played as a Par-72 at 7,023 yards.
Union will be a part of the Jack Shadwick Invitational in Seneca, S.C. The two-day event tees off Sept. 29.
