LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A Union College women's cross country runner improved on her personal best while another made her collegiate debut Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic.

The race was contested at the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park and covered five kilometers in Louisville, Ky.

Bethany Bowlin (Barbourville, Ky.) covered the course in 23 minutes and 15.49 seconds. Her finish was good enough for 138th. The time was her third improvement for the freshman. Kasey Powell (Mt. Vernon, Ky.) finished 204th in her first collegiate race in a time of 37:16.69.

Meagan Hudson, from Missouri Baptist University, took the individual title. She finished at the 18:09.39 mark. The University of Southern Indiana won the team championship with 106 points and West Virginia Wesleyan College finished 30 points behind.

Next on the schedule is the Wilmington Fall Classic on Oct. 17 in Wilmington, Ohio.
