BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College freshman Jacob Appleby is this week's Mid-South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after helping the 12th-ranked Bulldogs to the 45-27 win at West Virginia Tech.

This marks the second time this season Appleby (Harvest, Ala.) has received this award and the sixth time a Bulldog has been named a Player of the Week in the MSC this season.

Appleby was a perfect 6-for-6 on PAT kicks Saturday and booted a 32-yard field goal, accounting for nine of Union's 45 points.

On the season, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Appleby has connected on all 21 PAT attempts and is 6-of-7 on field-goal tries. He has scored 39 points this season and is averaging 7.8 points per game.

Union is 5-0 overall and 2-0 in MSC East play. The Bulldogs will play host to University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in a MSC East tilt.
