BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College volleyball team suffered a pair of 3-1 losses Saturday at the Campbellsville (Ky.) University Invitational. The first setback came against Indiana University Southeast followed by a loss to the host, No. 22 Campbellsville.

Union's record moved to 15-8 after the matches.

In the Indiana University Southeast contest, Union won the first set 28-26 before IUS reeled off the next three sets. The scores of the final three sets were 25-19, 25-18 and 25-23.

Union was led by a trio of players with 11 kills, Brooke Vinovich (Somerset, Ky.), Stephanie Pateman (Weyburn, Canada) and Autumn Combs (Florence, Ky.) Vinovich added 10 digs while Combs provided four blocks.

Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) tied her season high with 44 assists. The sophomore also contributed 13 digs and served two aces.

Meg Donnelly (Middletown, Ohio) recorded 21 digs.

Against Campbellsville, the Lady Bulldogs fell in the first set 25-16. Union evened the match with a 26-24 win in the second, however Campbellsville won 26-24 and 25-21 in the third and fourth sets.

Combs recorded a team-best 12 kills with six blocks. Vinovich and Pateman added 11 and eight kills, respectively.

Moreland was credited with 33 assists with 14 digs. Donnelly and Suzannah Behnken (Tempe, Ariz.) both provided 10 digs.

Union returns to Appalachian Athletic Conference action against Milligan (Tenn.) College Tuesday inside Robsion Arena. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start. The Lady Bulldogs look to improve on a 10-3 conference record. In the first meeting, Union defeated Milligan 3-2 on Sept. 25.
