Heather Wilson - Head Coach - 3rd Season

Heather Wilson was named the Union College head cheerleading coach in August of 2007.

Along with her coaching duties at Union, Wilson will remain a teacher at Whitley County High School, a positions she has held since 2005. She is a Social Studies teacher at Whitley County High and cheerleading/gymnastics instructor at the county's elementary and middle schools.

In her first year at Union, Wilson's squad brought back a third-runner-up finish at the Cheer Ltd Open College National in the Small Coed Collegiate Division. She also coached the Cheer Ltd Open College National All-Girl College Stunt Group Championship.

At the 2009 Cheer Ltd Open College Nationals, Union repeated as the All-Girl College Stunt Group champion adding the Small Group National Champion.

Wilson coached the varsity cheerleading squad at Whitley County High School from 2002 to 2005.

She led Whitley County to a third place finish at the Kentucky Association of Pep Organization Sponsors (KAPOS) State Cheer Competition in 2003. The squad also won the 50th District and 13th Region championship that year. In 2005, Whitley County competed in the Commonwealth State Cheer & Dance Open and Bluegrass State Cheer & Dance Competitions.

Along with her cheer coaching and teaching duties, Wilson was on the Whitley County track team coaching staff from 2004 to 2007. She is also a PEP Club Sponsor at Whitley County High.

Wilson graduated from Whitley County High School and Cumberland (Ky.) College, and is working on her Master's degree at Union.

She currently resides in Corbin.
