Jamie Jimison - Head Coach

Jamie Jimison has been the head coach for the Union College cross country and track and field programs since February of 2005.

When he took the helm, he became the second person to head up the cross country program since its reinstatement as an intercollegiate program in 2004. Additionally, Jimision revitalized the once-dormant track and field program in the spring of 2005.

Jimison has found success in his short tenure at Union. In cross country, he has produced three All-Appalachian Athletic Conference runner and two All-NAIA Region XII runner as well as had one runner qualify for the NAIA National Championship in back-to-back seasons.

In 2007, Jimison had two runners qualify for the 60 Meter Dash at the NAIA Indoor National Championship Meet with one earning All-American honors. In two seasons of coaching outdoor track and field, Jimison has had athletes capture five individual Appalachian Athletic Conference championships as well as two relay teams. Additionally, he had three individual NAIA National Championship Meet qualifiers in five events as well as one relay team in 2007.

In 2008, Jimison coached four All-Americans during the indoor and outdoor track seasons. In all he had three individuals and a relay team qualfiy for the NAIA Indoor National Championship.

Jimison has also had six NAIA Scholar-Athletes - four in cross country and two in track and field.

Prior to coming to Union, Jimison served as an assistant coach at Berea (Ky.) College where he took one relay team to the NAIA Outdoor National Championship Meet as the distance coach in the spring of 2004.

Jimison received his B.A. Physical Education and Health from Berea in 2004 and was a four-year member of Berea's cross country and track teams. He was a three-time qualifier for the NAIA Cross Country National Championship race and earned Academic All-Conference honors. He also graduated with a student-athlete citation.


Jamaine Gordon - Assistant Coach

Jamaine Gordon is beginning his first season as the assistant coach for the Union College cross country and track & field programs. His duties with the track & field teams will focus the sprint and jumping events.

A 2007 graduate of Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College, Gordon received his bachelor's degree in Communications. A four-year member of the Blue Raider track & field team, he qualified for the NAIA National Championship meets every year. Gordon is a three-time Indoor Track & Field All-American as well as a five-time Outdoor Track & Field All-American. In 2005, Gordon won the NAIA Individual National Championship in the triple jump.

The Fort Campbell, Ky. native named All-Mid-South Conference in the long jump once and in the triple jump twice.

Gordon is single and resides in Barbourville.
