Union Field, home to the Lady Bulldog softball team, is nestled on the north edge of the Union College campus. With the Appalachian Mountains positioned as the backdrop behind the outfield wall, Union Field has been the home site for the Lady Bulldogs since it first opened prior to the 1999 season.
The outfield fence measures 200 feet away from home plate all away around and is eight feet tall. The infield is clay and a mule mix, while the outfield is covered by Bermuda grass.
In the past 5 years, the home of the Lady Bulldogs has went through many changes to become one the best facilities in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Additions include a new press box, scoreboard, batting cage and an all-net backstop. The entire complex is streamed with wireless internet and makes a great venue to watch on-line webcast.
At maximum capacity the complex will hold 200 people.
