Quintin Borders is in his first season as a member of the Bulldog coaching staff and will oversee the offensive line.
Borders is no stranger to Union as he was a four-year starter for the Bulldogs on the offensive and was an All-Conference First Team selection all four years. In addition, he made Mid-South Conference history in becoming the first offensive lineman to be named the league's Offensive Player of the Year. Borders is a two-time AFCA NAIA All-American. He also landed on the inaugural Kentucky Chapter of the National Football League Alumni All-Commonwealth Team.
With Borders helping lead the up front, Union has posted four of the top 10 scoring seasons in program history. The Bulldogs have scored a total of 1,397 total points and averaged 31.75 points per game during Borders' tenure.
After completing his playing days at Union, Borders signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, his professional career was cut short by injuries.
He received his bachelor degree in 2011 from Union in computer information technology and is currently seeking his masters in educational studies.
