Tyler Brock is entering his sixth season at the helm of the Bulldog soccer program. Named to the post in March of 2003, he is the third head coach in the history of the Union College men's soccer program.
The Burlington, Ky. native first came to Union in 1996 as a student-athlete. A goalkeeper for the Bulldogs, Brock set a program record for best goals-against average in 1997 with a 0.7 mark. In addition, he was named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention that season.
During his first five seasons, Brock has guided the Bulldogs to a 26-59-4 overall record. In addition, he has coached 11 All-Conference players and has had three others to be named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
While also serving at the helm of the Bulldogs, Brock has coached on the Olympic Development Program State Staff for Kentucky the past four years. He is the Technical Director for the Kentucky Rush Junior Academy for players ages 14-18 as well as the U-14 Boys coach for the Kentucky Rush and the Goalkeeper Director for the Illand Vision Soccer Academy.
Prior to taking over as the head coach, Brock served the men's program as an assistant for two seasons. In addition, he was an assistant coach for the Northern Kentucky TC Stars, a women's semi-pro team in the W-League in 2002, and he has served as the Director of Goalkeepers at the Coast to Coast Soccer Academy for several years.
Brock earned his bachelor's degree from Union in 2001 and later received his master's from Union in 2003.
In 2003, Brock also served as the head women's soccer coach and was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Coach of the Year as he guided the Lady Bulldogs to a 14-6-2 overall record and the Appalachian Athletic Conference regular-season championship.
In 2005, Brock married the former Liannie Parahoo, and the couple resides in Barbourville.
