BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Tyler Portwood of Scott County High School has signed to play his collegiate basketball with Union College.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The third time was not the charm for the Union College Bulldogs Thursday against No. 20 Bluefield (Va.) College. Union, the No. 7 seed, dropped a 100-82 Appalachian Athletic Conference quarterfinal contest to the second-seeded Rams at Viking Hall in Bristol, Tenn.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Union College Bulldogs, the No. 7 seed, took a 62-57 Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament victory over Covenant (Ga.) College, the No. 10 seed, Wednesday at Viking Hall in Bristol, Tenn.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Aaron Dunaway was a second-team All-AAC selection as voted on by the coaches and announced Wednesday at the Appalachian Athletic Conference awards ceremony. Chris Stunson and Michael Hester were named to the conference’s All-Defensive and All-Freshmen teams, respectively.
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Union College will begin the 2008 Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament on Wednesday. The Bulldogs, the No. 7 seed, will play Covenant (Ga.) College, the No. 10 seed, at 6 p.m. The bracket was announced Sunday by the conference.
