Larry Reynolds joins the Union College Sports Medicine staff as the associate head athletic trainer by way of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Having grown up in a military household, Reynolds is the only child of Robert and Regina Reynolds of Shreveport, La.
Reynolds attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind., from 2000-05, where he graduated with a B.S. in Athletic Training. During his time at ISU, Reynolds achieved a number of academic honors such as the Dean's List in 2002, Athletic Department Honor Roll in 2005, two Professional Football Athletic Training Minority Scholarships Selections (Minnesota Vikings/New England Patriots) and an Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Project Scholar (2004-present).
After graduating from ISU, Reynolds attended Arkansas State University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer, majoring in exercise science. Having completed all necessary coursework, he currently finishing his Master's Thesis in preparation for a Fall 2008 graduation.
A Certified Athletic Trainer since 2007, Reynolds other professional experience includes: Athletic Training Fellowship with the Cincinnati Bengals (2007-2008), Summer internships with the NFL and AFL (Minnesota Vikings, Bossier City Battlewings, 2003), Sun Belt Conference Athletics and Missouri Valley Conference Athletics. In 2007, he received the Sun Belt Conference Champion Athletic Trainer (SWATA).
Reynolds is a die-hard Dallas Mavericks and Cincinnati Bengals fan and is an avid track & field fan and enthusiast. His Professional goals include returning to professional sports, opening and managing his own sports medicine clinic, completing the Strengthening and Conditioning Certification, obtaining a Ph.D in Athletic Training in order to teach collegiately and possibly contribute to textbook in the area on rehabilitation and athletic performance/conditioning assessment and improvement.
